Weekly Wrap-up

My beautiful flower!
Monday:  I slept over at my friends house and we did origami!   It is SO fun!   My new talent is making origami flowers without the directions!    We had music lessons and we also went to the RMSC.  I have started a new section in song #6 in my violin book.  It is kind-of easy!

Tuesday:  Lots of school work was done today!  My math is pretty easy but hard at times.  It is a new level of Singapore Math and I am learning a new concept.  Critical Thinking was fun and pretty easy!  I <3 critical thinking!  Good gymnastic day too!  I did my back walkover on the beam and I stuck it!  I have been having trouble sticking it so that is good!

Wednesday:  Mall day!  Poppy & Gommy always come with us!  YAY!  Subs for lunch AND dinner!  Subs are awesome!  I also ate A LOT of onion rings and fries! While we were at Barnes and Noble for story time with Mr. Mike I purchased an Origami set.   AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! At home Poppy helped me build my igloo!   It is really fun to sit in and play games!  We spent about an hour building it!  It was SO fun!!!    I had a great gym day!  I got my back-handspring on low beam!   YAY!

Thursday: We did not go to ice skating because my mom heard it was going to be crazy.  After I finished my work, my mom and I were working on our iTunes.  (If you want to know more you can read my moms blog) We could not figure out how to add our pictures to our iTunes account, but we finally figured it out!  We were SO happy!

Friday:  Fishy Friday!  Poppy and Gommy came over and we just hung out.  For dinner I had fish (of course!), and it was really good!!!!  After dinner, Daddy, Poppy, Jayden, Ava, and I all played with balloons.  We passed them to each other and had lots of fun!  We went upstairs after a while and had yummy chocolate pie that my Gommy brought for us.  It was so yummy!  Thank you Gommy and Poppy for bringing it!!!  <3

Today in my Life

Outside my window...  It is still snowing,  and my igloo is still up.  There are snowmen that my siblings made that are guarding my wonderful igloo!  My Poppy has helped me make my igloos for the past 2 or 3 years!  Thank you very much Poppy for helping me with my igloo again this year.

I am thinking...  About my gymnastics meet this weekend. It is in New Hartford.   My dad and I call it New Fartford!   It takes 3 hours to get there!!!  My friend Shannon and her parents are riding with us!.

From the Homeschool Room...  Jayden and Ava are playing hot potato with Education Cubes and Ava is reading the words off of them.  Jayden and I have been doing map drawing!  It is really fun!  I am getting very good at drawing South America.  I have also started a new level book of Singapore math!  I am doing pretty well.... but it is difficult.

I am reading...  Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul.  I have already read Chicken Soup for the Pre-teen Soul, and I love the series!  It is awesome!

I am hoping... I will get very good scores at my meet this weekend.   I am also hoping I will not fall off  any event and that I will place.

From the kitchen...  We are having fish for dinner with Poppy & Gommy.  We call Fridays, Fishy Friday.  It is always really fun when Poppy & Gommy come over.

From the gym... I have gotten much better on beam.  Guess What!?!  I got my back-handspring on low beam!  YAY!   I am so happy!  My coach Sarah pushed me to do it and I did it!!!

I am hearing... Ava saying "shake your booty... oops I spilled the fish food".

My AWFUL night!

The other day, when I got home from the gym, I was putting a book on a higher shelf.  I had set one foot on a lower shelf and it broke!  It held ALL of my snow globes!  I was SO sad!  It was stupid of me to put an 80 pound girl on a shelf though!   In the process, I cut my toe.  It was bleeding A LOT!!! I limped/ran down to my mom and dad (who were shoveling the driveway) and screamed!  My mom came in and cleaned up my toe and bandaged it and then went up to see the mess I made.  She called my dad to come help her and they spent 1 hour cleaning it up!  I was crying the WHOLE time!  I was really upset about my snow globes!  I was also afraid my grandma would get mad that I broke some snow globes that she bought me.  My mom called her and told her what happened and then my grandma talked to me.  She said that she wasn't mad, that accidents happen, and that she was glad I was OK.  I was feeling a bit better after that.

For days, I have been WAY overtired!  I have not been myself.  (my mom even said so)  I have had trouble sleeping, trouble staying awake, and just tired!  Today I feel SO much better!  I am not tired, I got a good night sleep, and I am myself again!   I am SO happy!!!

Today in my life

Outside my window...  It is partly cloudy and there is a fresh layer of snow on the ground.

I am thinking... about my snuggie that is supposed to arrive today!

From the Homeschool Room... I see my math that I finished in a timely manner!

I am reading... A Choose Your Own Adventure book that is really good!  I have a few of them that I am very excited to read!

I am hoping...  I will do very well in my meet this weekend!   I really want to get high scores like all of my friends!

From the kitchen... Nothing is cooking at the moment but soon it will be filled with the smell of crescent dogs.

From the gym... I am getting a lot better at my bar routine.  My coach says I have improved very much from the last meet!

I am hearing... Ava saying "Mommy, come here...  Listen to this weird sound!  Mommy, Mommy, MOMMY come here!!!

That would be gross!)

The Annoying Doctors Visit!

About a week ago, I went to the Orthopedic Specialist to have my heel checked out.  It has been bothering me for about a month and a half.  It sometimes hurts to walk, but really only when I  "force" flex, which occurs when I tumble or vault.  I had x-rays taken and the doctor told me I had Sever's Disease. (It's not really a disease!)   It's where there's inflammation in the growth plate in the heel. (That's what has been causing my pain) There's nothing you can do except rest, rest , and rest some more.  (Which is annoying!!)  You know what my mom told him?  "It doesn't work to tell a gymnast to rest!!!"  I laughed when she said it!!

For as long as it hurts, I will still be doing bars and beam full on, but on floor and vault I will have to do a minimal amount of tumbling and actual vaulting! This will help to rest the injury.
