Today in my Life 3/29/11

Outside my window...  Though it is cold, the sun is shinning and the birds are chirping!  Ahhh, a sign of spring.

I am thinking... That I can't wait to go to Florida; warm, swimming, FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

From the Homeschool Room...  We are presenting our independent projects on Friday!  Mine is about Squirrel Monkeys and Jayden's is about Florida.   I will post some pictures soon!

I am reading... Eight Cousins by: Louisa May Alcott.  It was supposed to be the Mother/Daughter Book Club book for this month, but I was not able to attend because we were all sick.  I have kept reading it because I think it is a good book!  I like the boys who are helping the girl get a little more active!  :)

I am hoping...  that I won't be sick for a very long time.  I think it will go away by tomorrow. (hopefully)

From the kitchen...  We had taco dip for dinner!  Yummy!!!  I have NO idea why Jayden doesn't like it!!!  :)

From the gym...  I did not go yesterday or today because I haven't been feeling well.  I had a very good meet!  I got my highest all around score and my highest beam and bars score.

I am hearing...Oscar wimper because Jayden is holding him down.  I also hear the clicking and scrolling of Mommy doing stuff on her computer.

Quote of the day... Where there is love, there is life. -Gandhi

  1. Your quote from Ghandi about love made me think of 1 Corinthians 13 in the Bible and what is says about love.

Love is a most excellent way and without it we are a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. Even if we have the gift of prophecy, fathoom all mysteries, all knowledge, and have faith that can move mountains, but have not love I am nothing. If you give to the poor, surrender your body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, kind, doesn't envy, doesn't boast, is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man (woman), I put childish ways behind me., Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain; faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
